First Week Part 2

Our second day we and we are in full swing of things. We adjusted the curriculum based on all the kids levels and abilities after the teacher got o know them last class. This is nice about being a small school that Mrs. Kelsey doesn't have to teach to the masses she can adjust and be unique with each lesson plan depending on what the kids are more and less interested in. Today we read "I Like Myself" by Karen Beaumont  and "I Like Me!" by Nancy Carison. We made Nature Self Portraits, Sand Play Letters and Numbers, Play dough names, A is for Ant and Anthill Finger painting and cooked homemade organic pizza's.

First Day of Preschool

This was an amazing day for me to see my kids so excited to learn. I thought they would be clingy or not separate the "preschool time" from "hometime" but they did without a pause. They made new friends very quickly with the other kids that joined us. This weeks Letter of the day is A, Number Zero 0, color Red and shape Circle. We read "What I Like About Me" and "All By Myself" We sang Mercer Meyer's Goodbye Song and made lots of cool projects. We made an all about me handprint. How many Lego's high? Shape sorting, Bean Name Tracing, Exploring- Finding things that are Red, and a Nature Walk collecting Nature for activities and outdoor recess fun. I think us mommy's had more separation anxiety than the kids because they didn't even ask for us once! So excited for a successful beginning to our education journey.

We made an all about me handprints.
