This week we are talking about Halloween and H is our letter of the week, 5 is our Number of the week, Rectangle is the shape of the week, and black is the color of the week. We read "Five Little Pumpkins" By Dan Yaccarino and "The Spooky Wheels on the Bus" By J. Elizabeth Mills.
We made Pumpkin Spiced Play Dough, Five Little Pumpkins Counting and Sorting Sensory Bins, Treading Sensory Bins, Pumpkin Patch Small World Play, and Hand Print H's. We went on a Scavenger Hunt for Fall Leaves and made Nature Bracelets.
Using Tongs and Clothes Pins we had the kids Count 5 Little Pumpkins into each mini bin.
Treading Sensory Bin was a challenge but they did great threading the pipe cleaners through the straws.
Pumpkin Patch Small World Play
Lunch we had homemade Farm Shaped Mac and Cheese Bites, with a Mini Pumpkin Shaped Sandwich, Apple Sauce and a Homemade Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie.
